This is my third year in the Bronx. I teach a bridge 2nd and 3rd grade class of ELLs, half of whom can't identify all their letter sounds. Yet, they are tested to death. This week will be hell with ITA's for the third grade. I have no time to teach them what they really need-how to learn to read.Jessienoreply@blogger.com
